Yes, I'm still alive...

I haven't blogged for over a week. It was TV premier week and I've been immersing myself before starting to make some viewing decisions So far, here are Gwen's ratings:

Love:
True Blood - "Sookie's Mine" and I just melt.
NCIS - Always love Mark Harmon and the surprise villian at the end. Off to a good start.

Like:
Fringe - Pacey's back and playing Pacey who's older.
Mentalist - So far so good.
Heroes - the Sylar Surprise

Not as good as I thought it would be:
Grey's anatomy - Not enough action. Too slow. New Doctor is cute though.
House - After last seasons disapointment, thought this season would start off better.

Other than that, have been working on some secret projects that you won't see for awhile.

I did take some time this weekend to go to the Crafty Bastards craft fair downtown today, after brunch with a friend. Bought some beautiful yarns and a roving from Woolarina.

The green yarn is superwash merino. The pink yarn is Superwash BFL and the roving is a merino/silk blend that is soooo luscious. I can't wait to spin it.

Sure signs of fall...

Cooler days...
Darker mornings...
My bi-annual closet cleaning...Yep. Kitchen is still a mess, but the closet has been cleaned out. I always go through the previous seasons clothes. Get rid of anything really worn. Separate out clothes that either no longer fit or that I haven't worn to give to goodwill. Ahhh. I feel better now. It officially feels like fall now.

Still working on my second spindle full of singles. I hope to be able to ply tomorrow. The special projects are still coming along as well.

Went to see Burn After Reading tonight. I had not heard great things about it, but I think it was hysterical. It's dark. Very dark. After that, my brother and I went to for steaks and they screwed them both up, so we got free meals. Yeah!!! All we paid for was the beers from the bar we had while waiting to be seated. We're cheap dates. :-)

Help me choose?!?!?!?!?!?!

Okay, I'm at a crossroads in the first Funky Monkey. What colors to make the muzzle. First of all, I'm making the Mr. Ben Sock Monkey from Two Old Bags. Below is the body of the Funky Monkey....
So far, loving it...now, I'm to the two-colored muzzle. But what colors to use??? I have a selection below. I need two contrast colors. Color 1 will be the outer muzzle, top of head and feet and hands. Color 2 will be the inner muzzle.

So, what colors to use:

Green

Dark Navy

Lighter navy

beige

brown

So, my readers, what do you think?????

For a short week, last week was insane. Whew! Glad it's over with. Now, packing to go back to Florida. The side not supposed to get hit with the hurricane... Which is the good news. Hopefully it will be fun and I can get some work done in my off times.

Unfortunately, has not been a lot of knitting going on this week. Some spinning, but not a heck of a log of knitting. Too much work going on. I did take today to relax before I packed and went back into the fray. See everyone next week.
